If you think there are shocking changes at Willow Creek, think again. According to this story from the Christian post the changes are more about recalibration and trying to do a better job in discipleship than about admitting that things were terribly wrong and needed a change.
Rather, leaders found that they were doing some things well, such as bringing people to Christ and into the church, but were being less effective and helping people build their Christian experience.

The study found that many churches, while effective in helping those in the first stage of their spiritual journey move to the next, have trouble getting the more mature believers to move from the Close to Christ stage to a Christ-centered life.
